YotaPhone 2, la casa madre ha annunciato infatti oggi l'inizio della distribuzione dell'aggiornamento ad Android Marshmallow sul mercato europeo.
Marshmallow (6.0) è una versione ormai un po' datata del sistema operativo Android, ad ogni modo per uno smartphone lancito sul mercato quaso tre anni fa si tratta comunque di un buon passo avanti. L'aggiornamento era stato prenannunciato alla fine dello scorso anno dal produttore russo, in questi mesi in molti ormai avevano perso ogni speranza.
A system update is ready to install. This software update will upgrade your Android system to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which delivers major improvements to the phone functionality and performance.
Warning: This update may take a lot of time. Your device will restart and install the update. You won't be able to make any calls, including emergency calls, during installation.

• App permissions
Apps ask for permissions once you start using them. Manage and control these permissions in Apps settings
• Google Now on Tap
Now on Tap works like your personal assistant and gives a fast and easy way to get information that might be relevant to the keywords and images on the screen. Just long tap Home button and get a helpful card with relevant information
• Doze
Save energy - Doze automatically enables sleep mode when you don't use the phone for a long period
• App Standby
Make the battery last longer - App Standby disables background apps with which you haven't recently interacted
• Camera launch
Double tap power button to launch camera action
YotaPhone new features
• Send apps to the always-on display
Send an app and start working with it on the always-on display or continue working with the colour display. Use new Transfer button in the navigation panel for quick app sending or YotaMirror mode activation. Transfer button can be configured in YotaPhone settings
• Status bar on the always-on display
Check notifications and your phone basic status information on the always-on display. Status bar can be configured in the 'Always-on display' section in Settings
• Gmail instead of Email
We replaced Email with Gmail app and widgets, which allow you to log in to any mailbox, not only Google (@gmail.com). Use Gmail to check emails on the colour and always-on displays
• YotaSnap - discharged phone settings
Set up information you'll see on the always-on display after discharge with advanced YotaSnap settings. Quickly take screenshots using YotaSnap button in the navigation panel, which can be configured in YotaPhone Settings
What else
• Telegram instead of Yotagram
There is no Yotagram app in this update - now you can send the official Telegram app on the always-on display by the 'Transfer' button. Don't worry about your conversations - they will be saved. You may also set Notifications widget to receive the notifications from the app on the always-on display
• New YotaSports
Use redesigned YotaSports app to follow favorite matches on the colour and always-on displays
• Security
